She was formerly married to baseball player David Justice, singer-songwriter Eric Benét, and actor Olivier Martinez.
She later moved into the film industry and performed her breakthrough role in the romantic-comedy movie Boomerang 1992 , sharing the casting space with Eddie Murphy, following which she started getting roles in the comedy movie The Flintstones 1994 , the political drama Bulworth 1998 and Introducing Dorothy Dandridge 1999 , for which she again secured the Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.
Scott's first full-length project, a mixtape titled Owl Pharaoh, was self-released in May 2013.
